Monitoring and evaluation
This fourth section of the toolkit is the definition of a strategy to evaluate the efforts for the elimination of hepatitis inside prison.
The bedrock of any strategy and implementation of services is a strong monitoring and evaluation framework- there are tailorable tools linked throughout to support this process. To that end a monitoring and evaluation framework to support viral hepatitis service provision in all process from strategy development, to implementation, to evaluation.
In this context a proposal for a framework to monitoring the work conducted in the context of the hepatitis elimination is suggested. It outlines why data are important and what is needed across all stages of the care continuum, how these data can be collected and key considerations for effective monitoring.
