Advocacy to increase access
Advocacy efforts by different organisations and individuals can be helpful in aligning policy with strategy (and ultimately service provision) and the patchy coverage of available services suggests that there is a significant opportunity to expand advocacy efforts to drive forward progress around elimination.
In the absence of optimal provision of hepatitis and/or harm reduction services, advocacy steps to change these circumstances can prove useful alongside planning the scale-up of prevention and control programmes in the prison (refer to the HCV Advocacy Toolkit).
